SMILE

Stochastic Models for the Inference of Life Evolution

Alejandro Hernández Wences

Phd Student

I am a PhD student at the UNAM in México under the supervision of Arno Siri Jégousse. My work with Arno mainly focuses on the study of the Site Frequency Spectrum for simple coalescents, in particular for the Bolthausen-Sznitman coalescent, and also in the study of Fleming-Viot and self-similar measure valued processes. Currently I am doing a research stay in the SMILE group at Collège de France under the supervision of Amaury Lambert and Emmanuel Schertzer. During my stay here I'll be working on two different projects, one on modelling and analysing the Site Frequency Spectrum for cancel cell populations and the other on studying the limit genealogies of branching processes with selection.
